继续教育学院现有12个事业部，8个直属管理部门，教职员工近200人。业务涵盖成人教育、高端社会培训、国家公派出国留学、自费出国留学、华文教育、多语种考试与翻译。设有教育部直属出国人员培训部，教育部考试中心直属北京外国语大学考试中心。同时是教育部中国留学服务中心授权的出国留学培训基地、北京市干部教育培训高校基地、国务院侨务办公室华文教育基地。 学院本着内涵发展、创新发展、外向发展、融合发展的发展策略，充分整合和发挥全校语种资源和学科优势，不断提升成人学历教育层次、打造团体培训品牌、拓展国际教育渠道，在人才培养和社会服务方面进行积极探索并卓有成效，连续多年获得“最具影响力外语教育品牌”称号。 作为北京外国语大学服务社会的窗口单位，在多年的办学实践中，继续教育学院始终将办学的社会效益放在第一位，服务国家战略需求，创新国际化人才培养模式，开发出能够满足国家对外交流合作、金融贸易往来、基建及交通建设、能源服务及地方政府外事业务等不同行业需求的人才培养模块，涵盖英、德、俄、法、阿、西、葡等近30个语种。多年来，学院为部委、地方政府和企事业单位培养了大量的“外语+行业”复合型人才，以独具特色的外语培训理念和高质量的教育教学服务赢得了社会各界的广泛好评。 为满足不断增长的出国留学需求，学院积极拓展国际教育交流与合作，整合了教育部出国人员培训部和教育部中国留学服务中心出国留学培训基地丰富的国际教育办学经验和安全规范的留学服务体系，联合多个国家的政府部门和知名院校打造了高品质的国际高中和留学预科项目。在规模不断扩大的同时，学院坚持“育人为本、德育为先”，三十多年来已向国外成功输送了万余名优秀学子。他们凭借扎实的语言功底、优秀的学术能力，获得了国内外合作伙伴的高度认可和广泛赞誉。

School of Continuing Education

The School of Continuing Education was established to serve society. For years it has met the country's strategic needs, integrated discipline resources, innovated systems, mechanisms, and international talent training models, given full play to its unique advantages, improved the level of adult education, built a brand for group training, expanded international education channels, and achieved fruitful results in personnel training and social services. It has been awarded the title of "Most Influential Foreign Language Education Brand" for many consecutive years.

The school currently has 12 business divisions and 8 administrative departments directly under it, with more than 200 faculty members. Its focuses cover adult academic education, high-end social training, state-sponsored overseas studies, self-funded overseas studies, teaching Chinese as a second language, and multilingual examination and translation. The school has a training department for personnel going abroad and an examination center, both of which are directly under the Ministry of Education. It is also a training base for self-funded overseas studies authorized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, a university base for cadre education and training in Beijing, and a Chinese language and culture education base affiliated to the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.

The school has adhered to intrinsic and innovative development, explored training mechanisms for international talents in the "foreign language+" industry, and developed a curriculum system which meets the nation’s needs for foreign exchanges and cooperation and for financial and trade exchanges. It has also cultivated talents for infrastructure and transportation construction, energy services, and local foreign affairs offices. It offers courses in nearly 30 languages including English, German, Russian, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese. Over the years, it has trained a large number of "foreign language +" comprehensive talents for ministries, commissions, local governments, enterprises and institutions, and has won wide acclaim from all walks of life with its unique foreign language training concepts and high-quality education and teaching services.

In order to meet the growing demand for overseas studies, the school has actively expanded international education exchanges and cooperation. With the help of the Overseas Personnel Training Department of the Ministry of Education and the Training Base for Overseas Studies of the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, it has offered high-quality international high school and preparatory programs in conjunction with government departments and well-known colleges and universities in many countries. With an expanding scale, the school pays equal attention to talent cultivation and moral education, and has successfully sent more than 10,000 outstanding students to study in foreign countries in the past 30 years. With their language proficiency and academic competency, they have been highly recognized and widely praised by domestic and foreign partners.
